Before Straightening

Prep your hair: Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and rinse thoroughly to remove all product buildup.

Before Straightening

Blow-dry thoroughly: Rough dry your hair with a blow dryer, then use a flat paddle brush to smooth it out completely before using the flat iron.

Before Straightening

Apply Heat Protectant: apply a heat protectant evenly, section by section

Use the Chase Method while Straightening: Clamp the flat iron near the root, then follow immediately behind it with a fine-tooth comb or a boar bristle brush. Pull both the comb and the straightener along your hair in a slow, steady motion
